REV DR LIM KAR YONG
Rev Dr Lim Kar Yong is the founding Director of the Centre for Bible Engagement.
He is also the Director of Postgraduate Studies and Lecturer in New Testament Studies. He is passionate about anything related to the New Testament – its theological, cultural, and social contexts, and enjoys teaching, researching, and providing guidance to students in this fascinating area of academic discipline. DR ELAINE GOHDr Elaine Goh Wei Fun is the Dean of Studies (2016-2019) and Lecturer in Old Testament Studies since 2008. Her doctoral research was in cross-textual hermeneutics between the book of Ecclesiastes and the Analects, while her current area of research generally lies in Old Testament and specifically in OT Wisdom Literature. She has published two titles in Mandarin under STM Series in addition to several journal articles. From 2008 to 2017, she has supervised more than 12 STM students in their writing of MDiv or BD thesis, all in OT.

DR LAW CHOON SIIDr Law Choon Sii is Lecturer in New Testament Studies and Director of Advanced Ministerial Studies. The title of her doctoral dissertation is “A Critical Re-Examination on Jesus’ Encounter with the Canaanite/Syrophoenician Woman (Matthew 15:21-28; Mark 7:24-30). Her research interests include early Christian origins, the parables of Jesus, Pauline studies, narrative criticism, and feminist biblical interpretation.

DR PETER LAUDr Peter Hon Wan Lau is Visiting Scholar in Old Testament studies (since 2010). His PhD was on the book of Ruth, and he has written books (academic and pastoral) on Ruth, Ezekiel, Psalms and Esther. He is keen to read OT texts in their full canonical context, especially how they point to and are fulfilled in Jesus. His publications can be seen here.
